Campsite

Cheesewring Farm campsite is a “Hideaway” campsite set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with direct access to Bodmin Moor. The site provides Peace and Tranquility in a secluded setting to ensure you are able to relax and unwind far from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. You will enjoy stunning views across the Lynher and Tamar valleys, or gaze at the towering bulk of Stowe’s hill behind you, enjoy watching the sun set over the craggy top of Sharp Tor and experience the delights of the stunning moorland all around.

Our campsite is registered with the Camping and Caravanning club to host up to five caravans/motorhomes, plus ten tents. Guests may choose to pitch on the grass or hard standing with an option of an electrical hook-up. (pitches may be allocated during busy periods)

For your convenience and enjoyment, the campsite provides:

• Five hard standings with electrical hook-ups
• Wi-Fi
• One acre of grass where caravans or tents can be pitched
• Well-maintained toilet and shower block with plenty of hot water for showers throughout the day.
• One fully-accessible shower/toilet
• Separate cabin with facilities for food preparation. Microwave, Kettle, Fridge and Freezer and washing-up facilities.
• Seasonal home-grown produce and eggs from our own hens and ducks on sale (subject to availability)

Our aims for your arrival at the Campsite:

• You will be greeted by a member of the family
• Any issues brought to our attention will be dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible
• Help will be given wherever possible – all you have to do is ask.

Fire-pits

Fire-pits can be hired on site at a cost of £15 each. (bag of logs included.) Additional logs can be purchased at £5 per bag.

Campers may use their own fire-pits and barbeques provided that they are off of the grass and no damage is caused to the camping field.

Caravans/Motor Homes

There are five bays with hard standing, plus a grassed area in the centre.
Please choose your site with due consideration for others. (In busier periods pitches may be allocated).

1st January – 30th April
£21 per night for up to 2 adults

1st May – 30th September
£25 per night for up to 2 Adults

1st October – 31st December
£21 per night for up to 2 Adults

EHU (up to 15kwhr/day) £3 per night

Awnings/Puptent/Gazebo £3 per night

Additional vehicle (not used as accommodation) – £2 per night

Children (over 5 but under 16 years) £2 per night

Additional guests (>16) £10 per night.

Camping

The tent area is on the levelled grassed area to the left of the roadway. Please choose your site with due consideration for others. (In busier periods pitches may be allocated). These pitches are primarily for those requiring EHU and each has a separate connection point. Guests with smaller tents not requiring EHU can choose their pitch further along the site on the left.

Group bookings for the campsite

We are happy to accommodate youth groups on site by prior arrangement. Young people under 16 in these groups are charged £4 per night, adults in the group are charged £6 per night (non Electric Hook up).

Other Information:

Dogs: We do not make any additional charge for up to 3 well behaved dogs. Dogs are required to be on a lead or tether at all times on the campsite. Dog exercise area available.

Check in is between 1pm and 7pm.
Departure by 11am

Electrical Hook up points are 16 amp. (units over 15kwhr/day are charged per unit thereafter)

No electrical heaters are to be used in awnings or tents unless by prior agreement. (additional charges may apply)
